Hello everyone! My name is Anastasiya and I am a FLEX finalist from a captivating country Ukraine. I've been already two months in the United States, Arkansas and can assure you it is one of the most beautiful places on the world map. Pleasant weather, green hills and warm-hearted people make Arkansas a wonderful place to live in. As for me, I am 15 years old and a senior in the Cedarville High School. I would describe myself as a confident, creative and energetic person. I have a bunch of extracurricular activities both in America and in Ukraine.Theater, 10 years in the music school ( piano ), drawing school, tennis ( 4 years ) and volleyball. I can speak 3 languages fluently - Russian, Ukrainian and English, I also have been learning German language for 5 years, and a little bit of French and Spanish. In the United States I became an officer in the Future Business Leaders of America( FBLA ) and also a member in Family Career Community Leaders of America ( FCCLA ). I also joined the music band ( playing xylophone, piano, symbols and bells ) and found it really fantastic! At home I have a big family - my parents and three younger brothers, but here my host family consists just of two parents. That's why sometimes I miss my little brothers. However, we have a lot of common activities and truthful relationships with my American family, so I don't mind living without brothers for a while - we will appreciate each other more then.
I've got used to use a lot of social media - Vkontakte, Facebook, Twitter. For me it is the way of communication, the little connection with my past life at home. Probably the majority of my friends live all over the world, so internet and social networks are chains of communication, that keeps us near each other. Far away, but near, near in hearts.
What I use the most of social media for is communication, but again I listen to music a lot and watch interesting and exiting films, videos. I would definitely like to know how to use the social network appropriately and usefully, to figure out all tools to advocate for social change!
